Add a custom service, or import your config

Add any MCP server by its address, or several at once from a Claude config file.

  1. In Settings → Tools, press Custom service.
  2. Paste its address, and its token if it needs one.
  3. Tick its devices, then press Add it.
  • Advanced sets the name Claude sees, HTTP or the older SSE, and other headers.
  • Import a config file reads a Claude Code .mcp.json or ~/.claude.json, or a Claude Desktop config, in your browser. Imported servers go to no device until you choose.
  • Use https://. Plain http:// works for localhost and your own network, like your LAN or Tailscale.
  • Servers that run as a command on the device are saved, but eris doesn't run them yet.
