Guide: When something's wrong

A service isn't working

Its row in Settings → Tools says what's wrong, and these fix it.

Can't reach it

A device couldn't connect to its address, or it was too slow.

Fix: Check the address, and that the device can reach it: if it's on your VPN or Tailscale, the device must be too. eris tries again by itself.

The token was turned away, or expired

The service didn't take the token.

Fix: Make a new one at the service, then press Replace token.

Needs you to sign in again

The sign-in ran out, or was revoked at the service.

Fix: Press Sign in again.

Not on any device, or in any chat

No device has it, or it's set to no chats, so Claude never sees it.

Fix: Press Choose devices or Choose chats.

Needs a newer eris

A device's eris is too old for this service.

Fix: Update eris on that device.

Its address is refused

eris never reaches cloud metadata or link-local addresses, and uses plain http:// only off the public internet.

Fix: Use the server's own address, with https:// if it's public.
