eris isn't replying
Something between your message and Claude is stuck, and these checks find what.

Claude Code isn't installed
eris talks to Claude through it.
Fix: Install it (how), and check claude runs in a terminal. As root with full permissions, it needs a sandbox: touch ~/.eris/sandbox on a VM or container, or run eris as a normal user.
Claude Code isn't signed in
Or its login has expired.
Fix: Run claude on the device and sign in, or eris setup --claude-token.
Claude is having problems
Every device is stuck the same way.
Fix: Check status.claude.com, and try again later.
The device is offline or restarting
Another online device takes over. If none is online, nothing answers.
Fix: Check Instances, then wake or restart the device.
macOS is waiting for permission
Someone at the Mac has to answer it.
Fix: Allow or deny it there. Why it asks.
Something else
eris status says if it's linked, has your settings and is running. Its log: ~/.eris/eris.log, or journalctl -u eris (with --user for a user service).
Fix: Restart eris: eris service install, or after a reboot without systemd, eris service start.
